While we offer many, many ways to create discount systems, pricing grids, hourly rates, etc… sometimes you still need a way to Override the the tuition that is charged, and just set it to what you need it to be with tuition override! Perhaps you need to waive fees for a teacher attending classes or a parent who also works for the studio. This feature allows you to make a tuition adjustment or exemption.
Family Tuition Override
No problem! Let’s take a look at how this is achieved for a student or a family. Click on the Account Details for the family/student that you need to override (1). Then click on the Additional tab (2). Then you will notice there are two ways to override, tuition override and discount override (3).
So you can either set an exact amount that will be billed, and attach it to a billing schedule (ex. monthly, quarterly), or you can set an amount or percent discount, and then everything this family purchases will be discounted when global tuition is run.
Student Tuition Override
If you want to only override the tuition for a student in the family, but not the whole family, you can access this by Clicking on Related Students and Classes under the family account and then you click on Edit to access the same information as shown above, but just for that student.
