Announcements
Read studio announcements
#Before you begin
- Sign in to the correct studio and Online Client account.
- Look for Announcements in the main navigation or on the Home page.
- Be aware that the studio can rename this section. For example, it may appear as Studio News or another studio-specific title.
- Use a current browser with JavaScript enabled.
The menu appears only when the studio enables the Online Client announcements section. An active announcement also needs a start date on or before today and an end date on or after today.
#Read an announcement
- Select Announcements or the studio's customized section name.
- Review the announcement cards in the list.
- Select an announcement title, its image, or Read more.
- Read the complete text in the detail window.
- Select Close, select the shaded area outside the window, or press Escape to return to the list.
Each card can show a title, an image, and a shortened preview of the announcement. The detail window shows the complete current content.
#Understand the new-announcement badge
When the menu displays a number beside the announcements label, that number represents current announcement IDs this browser has not recorded as seen.
Opening the announcements page records all announcements currently displayed as seen and hides the badge in that browser.
Important: Seen status is stored in the browser, not as a synchronized account record. The badge can therefore differ on another device, in another browser profile, after browser data is cleared, or in a private browsing session. A missing badge does not prove that every family member read the announcement.
#What appears on the page
The list includes announcements that are:
- active;
- on or after their configured start date; and
- on or before their configured end date.
The studio controls the order. Future, expired, draft, inactive, or archived announcements do not appear in the current customer list.
The page is read-only. There is no client reply, acknowledgement, archive, or delete action. Use the contact method in the announcement or the studio's normal contact details when a response is required.
#Confirm you saw the full announcement
- Open the announcement with Read more.
- Scroll inside the detail window when the content is longer than the available space.
- Confirm that any date, location, deadline, and requested action are clear.
- Close the detail window and verify that you returned to the same list.
For a time-sensitive instruction, follow the studio's stated confirmation method. The browser badge is not a delivery receipt or acknowledgement.
#Troubleshooting
#Announcements is missing
The studio may have disabled the section, renamed it, or not made it available in the current Online Client navigation. Check Home and the main menu, then contact the studio.
#The page says there are no announcements
There is no active announcement whose display dates include today. An item mentioned by the studio may still be a draft, future, expired, inactive, or archived.
#The number badge returned
A new current announcement may have been added. The badge can also reappear after local browser data is cleared or when you use another browser or device.
#The badge differs on two devices
This is expected with browser-local seen tracking. Open the announcement on the device you are using; the two devices do not synchronize their badge history.
#Read more does not open
Reload the page once and confirm JavaScript is enabled. If the issue continues, contact the studio and include the announcement title.
#An image does not load
The announcement text may still be available. Open Read more, then tell the studio which announcement has the missing image.
#I need to respond
Announcements do not provide Reply. Use Messages only for reading studio messages; it also has no compose action. Follow the contact information provided by the studio.
