Manage your account and family

Use Edit Account to keep your contact information current and to add or update related students when your studio allows it.
For: Online ClientUpdated 2026-07-16

#Before you begin

  • Sign in to the correct studio and Online Client account.
  • Gather the contact, emergency, medical, and student information your studio requires.
  • Use a current email address that you can access.
  • If adding a related student, review any fee notice or agreement before saving.

Your studio decides which fields appear, which are required, whether related students can be managed online, and what terms it uses for students or family members.

#Update the main account

  1. Select your name to open the account menu.
  2. Select Edit Account.
  3. Review Account Information.
  4. Update the fields that need attention. Depending on studio settings, the page can include:
    • name and nickname;
    • a second guardian's name;
    • account role, such as adult student or guardian;
    • birthday and gender;
    • address;
    • one or more phone numbers;
    • primary and secondary email;
    • primary location or company;
    • medications or medical instructions;
    • emergency contact;
    • referral source; and
    • studio-defined custom fields.
  5. Review required fields marked on the page.
  6. Select Save.

#Confirm the update worked

The page should return to Main Account and report Profile updated successfully. Confirm the changed value is still present after the page reloads.

If you changed the primary email, keep the new address on hand. Studios that use email-based sign-in or recovery will use the saved address.

  1. Open your account menu.
  2. Select Add Related Student. The studio's customized student label may appear instead.
  3. Enter the student's first and last name.
  4. Complete the visible birthday, gender, email, phone, address, and notes fields as appropriate.
  5. Review any registration-fee notice before continuing.
  6. Open and review each required agreement.
  7. Select Save.

The main account page should report Family member added successfully and list the new person under Related Students or the studio's equivalent label.

Important: Adding a person to the account does not by itself register that person for a class or complete a purchase. Registration and checkout are separate steps.

  1. Open Edit Account.
  2. Under Related Students, find the correct person.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Update the available details.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Confirm the page reports Family member updated successfully.

You can edit only a person linked to the signed-in account. Fields still depend on the studio's registration settings.

  1. Open Edit Account.
  2. Under Related Students, find the correct person.
  3. Select Archive.
  4. Read the confirmation and continue only if you intend to make that person inactive on this account.

Warning: Archiving changes the related student's active status. It does not mean every historical class, schedule, purchase, waiver, or financial reference is erased. If you need to correct a duplicate or account relationship, contact the studio before archiving.

Some studios require at least one related student. In that configuration, the last active student cannot be archived from the Online Client account.

#Add or remove a profile photo

The Profile Photo card appears when this feature is available.

To add a photo:

  1. Select a JPEG image no larger than 5 MB.
  2. Select Upload Photo.
  3. Confirm the new photo appears on the page.

To remove it, select Delete Photo and confirm the action.

Use a clear headshot only when the studio requests one. Do not upload identity documents, medical records, payment images, or other sensitive files as a profile photo.

#Delete the Online Client account

The Delete Account card includes Delete My Account.

Warning: This is not a sign-out button. Current DSM Next source marks the primary and related family records inactive, removes the Online Client login identity, cancels scheduled rows associated with the account, and clears the session. The interface states that the action cannot be undone.

Contact the studio before deleting an account that has future classes, lessons, purchases, a balance, stored payment methods, waivers, or records that must be retained. A separate deletion article and live verification are required before this action should be documented as a routine procedure.

#Troubleshooting

Confirm you are signed in, then reopen the account menu. The studio may have profile registration or related-student management disabled. Contact the studio if the item remains unavailable.

#The form will not save

Review the highlighted fields and required markers. Check the date format, email format, and the studio's required phone or address fields. A primary email already used by another account may also be rejected.

The person may be the account's last required student. The studio can review the family relationship and decide whether a transfer, merge, or other account correction is appropriate.

#The photo will not upload

Use a .jpg or .jpeg image no larger than 5 MB. Other image formats are not accepted by the current profile-photo control.

Search article titles, tasks, settings, and troubleshooting.
