Buy packages, memberships, and subscriptions
#Understand what you are buying
Studios can use similar names for offers that work differently. Read the item details and payment schedule instead of relying on the word package or membership alone.
| Offer | Typical result | What to check before checkout |
|---|---|---|
| One-time package | A purchase containing a stated number of eligible uses | Included items or units, assigned student, activation, expiration, restrictions, and total price |
| Finite subscription | A recurring offer with a stated number of payments | Amount per payment, number of payments, schedule, total commitment, start timing, and studio cancellation policy |
| Until-cancel subscription | An offer that continues on its schedule until it is ended | Recurring amount, frequency, first-payment timing, cancellation process, and any notice or minimum-term policy |
| Membership | A studio-defined offer that can be either one-time or recurring | The displayed package contents and payment schedule; do not assume the billing model from the name |
Important: Included uses and scheduled payments are separate. A package can show remaining classes or lessons while its purchase also has an unpaid balance or future payment instruction.
#Before you begin
- Sign in to the Online Client account that should own the purchase.
- Confirm which family member or student will use the package when the page offers an assignment choice.
- Check whether an existing purchase still has usable classes, lessons, hours, or credits before buying another.
- Have an eligible payment method available when the offer requires payment online or supports future recurring charges.
- Read the studio's cancellation, expiration, refund, late-payment, and auto-renewal terms. The software displays the configured transaction, but the studio establishes the policy.
#Find an available offer
Depending on the studio's setup, packages can appear on a separate Packages page, under Buy Items, or as a purchase option while registering for a class or lesson.
- Open Packages or Buy Items. If neither appears, begin from the class or lesson that you want to purchase.
- Sign in if the site asks you to do so. Subscriptions require a signed-in account.
- Use the category tabs or item list to find the intended offer.
- Review the item's Name, Description, Price, and any package-contents line.
- Select the item name or its purchase action to see the available details.
The studio can restrict an offer by sale dates, availability, location, category, client, student, earlier purchases, or quantity. An offer that another client can see is not necessarily available to your account.
#Review a one-time package
Before adding a package to the cart, verify all information the page provides:
- Read the package-contents line. It can summarize the included classes, lessons, units, or quantities.
- Confirm the displayed price and whether it is a complete price or part of a separate payment-plan choice.
- Review any activation and expiration information. Ask the studio when the start or end rule is not clear.
- Check the intended student, location, class category, season, or other eligibility information.
- Confirm the purchase quantity. Most clients need only one package unless the studio has instructed otherwise.
- Select Add to Cart or the offered purchase action.
- Open Cart and check the package name, assigned person, quantity, included-use information, and total again.
Buying a package does not by itself guarantee that a particular class or lesson has been scheduled. If the package is meant to pay for a registration or booking, complete that workflow and confirm the resulting enrollment or appointment separately.
#Review a subscription before adding it
When an offer is configured for recurring payments, its action can open a page titled Subscribe.
- In the Item column, confirm the exact subscription or membership name.
- Read the Description for the included service and any studio-provided terms.
- Read Payment Schedule carefully.
- If the schedule says, for example, 6 x $40.00, it describes six recurring payments of the shown amount.
- If it says Until cancel - $40.00, there is no displayed finite payment count. Review the studio's cancellation terms before continuing.
- Check the frequency shown in parentheses, such as weekly, every 14 days, every 30 days, monthly, or quarterly.
- Select Subscribe only when the item and schedule are correct. Select Cancel to return without adding it.
Selecting Subscribe adds one package item to checkout and should show Subscription added to checkout. It does not by itself confirm a charge, activate the membership, or prove that a recurring instruction was created.
Warning: A label such as Monthly on the 1st describes the configured frequency. Confirm the first charge, due date, any amount due today, and any prorating in the complete checkout summary or with the studio.
#Complete checkout
- Review the cart for duplicates and confirm the intended account or student.
- Continue to Checkout.
- Review the order items, today's amount, discounts, credits, taxes, convenience fees, and total.
- Look for any future-payment or payment-plan summary. Confirm its first payment, recurring amount, number of repeats, and schedule when those values are shown.
- Review and complete every required agreement, waiver, or policy acknowledgement.
- Select the intended payment option and payment source.
- Submit checkout once, then wait for a clear result.
Do not treat the Subscribe page, cart, or a spinning checkout button as confirmation. A completed order should reach the checkout-confirmation page or display an explicit success result.
If the order is marked Pay at Studio, settle the remaining balance according to the studio's instructions. That result is not proof of an online payment.
#Confirm the purchase and billing instructions
After a successful checkout, use more than one record when the offer is recurring:
- Review the checkout confirmation for the order result and amount.
- Open the account menu and select Purchases.
- Find the new item and open its details. Review status, expiration, charged amount, paid amount, balance, and any used or scheduled quantity.
- Open Finance > Ledger and look for the related charge and confirmed payment.
- If available, open Finance > Scheduled Payments to review future one-time instructions.
- If available, open Finance > Recurring Payments and Subscriptions to review the recurring schedule, start date, next payment, remaining count, item, amount, and status.
These records answer different questions:
- Purchases shows the item or entitlement and its usage information.
- Ledger shows charges, payments, and balance.
- Scheduled Payments shows future payment instructions.
- Recurring Payments and Subscriptions shows recurring billing instructions and their current status.
A row under scheduled or recurring payments is not a receipt. Verify a completed payment in the ledger or its payment receipt.
#Change or end a recurring arrangement
Some studios allow clients to enable or disable a row under Recurring Payments and Subscriptions.
- Open Finance > Recurring Payments and Subscriptions.
- Confirm the item, amount, next-payment date, schedule, and current status.
- Use the offered status control only when you understand the studio's policy and the effect on upcoming billing.
- Look for Recurring payment status updated.
- Contact the studio about the underlying membership, enrollment, purchase, remaining balance, or refund when those also need to change.
Warning: Disabling a recurring payment instruction is not the same as canceling the purchase or membership. It does not remove an enrollment, refund an earlier payment, erase a balance, or change past history.
If no status control appears, the studio manages recurring changes. Contact the studio before the next payment date and follow its cancellation or hold process.
#Troubleshooting
#Packages is missing from the menu
The studio can turn off the separate Packages page. Look under Buy Items or begin from the relevant class or lesson. If the studio directed you to a package that is still missing, confirm that you are signed in to the correct account.
#The page says No records found
No package currently matches the studio's active, visible, sale-date, and eligibility rules. The package could also be sold from another workflow. Contact the studio rather than choosing a similarly named item without confirmation.
#The Subscribe page asks me to sign in
Subscriptions cannot be added anonymously. Sign in to the account that should own the purchase, then reopen the offer. Avoid creating a second family account when you already have one.
#The payment schedule is blank or unclear
Do not continue based on an assumed frequency. Ask the studio to confirm the amount, first payment, recurring frequency, number of payments or until-cancel status, and cancellation policy.
#Subscribe returned Subscription item not found
The item can no longer be active, or the link can be stale. Return to Buy Items or Packages, refresh the current list, and select the offer again. Contact the studio if it is no longer listed.
#The subscription is in checkout twice
Remove the duplicate cart line before submitting. If the checkout result is already unclear, check Purchases, Finance > Ledger, and recurring payments before trying again.
#I bought a package but cannot use it for a class or lesson
Confirm the package's remaining units, expiration, student assignment, eligible activity, location, and season. A purchase can be valid without matching every class or lesson. Ask the studio to review the purchase rather than buying a second package immediately.
#I disabled recurring payments but still see the purchase or a balance
That is expected when only the billing instruction changed. The purchase, enrollment, charges, and past payments are separate records. Contact the studio to resolve the service status and any balance.
#A recurring payment failed
Review the ledger and recurring row without resubmitting checkout. Update an eligible payment method if the studio permits it, then contact the studio about retry timing, access, fees, or account status. Never send complete card or bank details in a message.
